There will be a Drumming Circle lead by Monk Collins starting at 7 P.M. along with a spirit greeting circle afterward. Also, a paranormal investigation will be conducted by our friends at S*PI*R*I*t Paranormal during the drumming and spirit greeting circle.

After the hustle and bustle of the holiday season is wrapping up, we find ourselves getting ready for the annual members meeting on February 19th. This is our annual meeting where we elect any new officers to the board for open positions and report to our members the progress over the past year. If there is a board meeting you have been wanting to attend this is the one! We would love for all of our members to come and be a part of the meeting to cast your vote on who you want to be on the board of your church and informed about the business side of the church. Positions that we will be filling include: Secretary, Treasure, and a Trustee. You must be a member of the church to vote and up to date on your dues per the by-laws. We hope to see you at the meeting!

Nationally known intuitive counselor and spiritual teacher Marilene Isaacs will be our guest speaker on January 15th, 2012. Marilene has over 40 years experience and will be sharing some of her thoughts on the coming year. We are excited to have Marilene back again at our church to start the new year. The church is also having a fundraiser drawing for a free reading with Marilene Tickets for the drawing are on sale now during church. The winner will be pulled on 1/15/12. You do not have to be present to win.

Our Mediumship Unfoldment class had it’s last meeting this evening for the year. Class members had been meeting bi-monthly since May to develop and demonstrate their spiritual gifts. Students of the class have come a long way in their development and should be very proud of their accomplishments. The development class will be on hiatus over the winter months until Spring of 2012. If you are interested in further attuning your gifts look for details on our website next Spring.

The Spiritualist Church of Indianapolis is having a Psychic and Craft Fair fundraiser on November 19th from 10:00 a.m. To 4:00 p.m. Refreshments and door prizes will be given away! Readings will be $10.00 for 10 minutes. Craft and vendor booths will be set up. We hope you can stop by for fellowship and fun to help support our church.

The Spiritualist Church of Indianapolis welcomes Lisa Dane McCullough on Sunday, November 20 where she will facilitate a Gratitude Ceremony. Dane states, “We will reflect on 2011, celebrate our abundance, create a gratitude altar and share our harvests with others. If you want, bring items that reflect your year or write your celebration on provided paper. Participants will share their stories as they desire and can add to the Gratitude Altar.” Non-perishable food donations can be added as well to share our bounty with those less fortunate. The donations will be delivered to local families in need.

The Spiritualist Church of Indianapolis hopes to see you there on November 20th for this special service.

As we get into the winter months, where nightfall seems to come at 6PM, the church has decided to try a new start time. Starting at our November 6th Healing and Devotional Church Services we will begin at 4:00 p.m. We will keep the 4:00 p.m. start time through December. It will be evaluated again in December by the board to see how it has been received. At that time we will decide if we will keep those hours for January and February. We feel this will allow our congregation to get home before getting to dark outside.

The Spiritualist Church of Indianapolis will be hosting a Prayer Bundles or Despachos Workshop on Sunday September 18, 2011 from 3:30 to 5:30. Prayer bundles or Despachos are a simple gift a giving back of what we receive everyday in our lives to establish new patterns of relationship and possibilities. It establishes a link between the physical universe, our personal power, our source of love and wisdom. In this lively workshop everyone will make 1-2 prayer bundles to take home with them. All supplies are included. Light refreshments (finger food) will be served in between workshop and church service. A $10.00 donation will be collected to benefit the church. Bio for Melody: Melody follows an eclectic path of New Age philosophies and believes in “all paths to God.” Born and raised in the South, she has been using her own intuitive and medium ability, as well as, reading Tarot and other divination cards, since an early age. On Sunday, August 7th the S.P.I.R.I.T Paranormal Research Investigation Research & Intervention Team was our guest speaker at The Spiritualist Church of Indianapolis.

A lot of members and guests were very excited for this event and anxiously waiting for our service to start.

S.P.I.R.I.T Members Tim Poynter, Cheryl Auberry, Jill Werner, and Intuitive Marilene Isaacs are excited to talk to us about what they do and share their experiences with us.

Tim is the first one to share with us about their group and his role. He also introduces the team to us.

Jill gets up and shares why she is a member of S.P.I.R.I.T and shares a few stories from a few investigations.

Cheryl is the next member of S.P.I.R.I.T to talk about her experiences and take some questions about how they investigate.

Intuitive Marilene Isaacs then shares her roll with the group and talks about how they help the spirits they come across.

Marilene shares with us some very cool pictures that include evidence of spirit that have been taken on their investigations.

Everyone had a great time and it was a great learning experience for all who were present.
